ABOUT US
This column was started in 2018 through the collaboration between the Carver College of Medicine and The Daily Iowan. By working with editors of The Daily Iowan, the goal of this column is to not only give all healthcare students who are interested in writing and the humanities an outlet to publish pieces, but also a way to bridge the divide between the undergraduate and graduate school campuses. It presents an opportunity for students to learn how to convey sophisticated topics to the general public by making them more salient and applicable through the popular press. Pieces published often focus on health-related issues that are relevant to the undergraduate population.
